Course Description: Train the Trainer courses are available for all five curriculum modules. Train the Trainer focuses on preparing others to instruct training sessions using the curriculum modules including the demonstrations, participatory activities, discussion questions, evaluations, pre/post tests. The course is focused on familiarizing participants with the technical content of the modules, showing how to conduct the demonstrations, participatory activities and group exercises. Additionally, a portion of the time is devoted to providing participants with training techniques, strategies, and tools; familiarizing participants with administrative duties such as sign in sheets, evaluations, pre- and post- tests; discussing trainer expectations and providing information on room arrangements, community partnerships, and other training details necessary for a successful training experience. After the completion of the course, participants will be asked if they plan on being an active trainer. Trainers must meet certain pre-requisites and be willing to commit to the Trainer Expectations. Trainers will be given an Instructor Materials for each module and be asked to fill out a Trainer Contact Information & Interest Form upon completion of the course.
