The health and safety of our agricultural workers has never been more important. The nation’s agricultural sector faced unprecedented challenges the past year, and the COVID-19 outbreak has brought even more uncertainty. One surety is grain production will continue. From food, fuel, and pharmaceuticals, grain touches all aspects of our life.
We urge you to take time and focus on safety during Stand Up 4 Grain Safety Week, April 13-17, 2020.
3 Steps to Stand Up
Step 1 – Kick Off
Hold an in-house Kick Off activity on April 13th to start the Stand Up Week with the kick off resources available at StandUp4GrainSafety.org.
Step 2 – Hold Stand Up Training or Activities
Provide employee training or other activities during the Week. Participate in daily webinars or use the other resources available for featured topics. You can find resources at StandUp4GrainSafety or the GHSC resource page.
Step 3 – Recognize Your Participation
Tell us about the “Small Change, Big Impact” your made by participating in the Stand Up Week. Receive a Certificate of Participation for one engaging in at least (1) hour of training or hazard identification during the Stand Up Week.
Small Changes. Big Impact.
Safety does not have to be ‘big’ to be effective. Commit to making small changes in the workplace or how tasks are performed to make a BIG safety impact.
